At long last, I am prince of all Saiyans yet again.. oh wait

Well it took me a good week, searching through archives, calling up former clients, going through lots and lots of raw photographs, but finally Ashcrowdesign.com has a fresh coat of paint on it. It's satisfying to see the results come out, as so far the reaction has been quite good.

Now for the business cards and letterheads, as I start to find new and interesting ways to promote my company with the world.

My Professional Website is UP!

Fri Aug 19, 2005, 11:55 PM
Today marks the unveiling of my new professional website for my landscape design company, Ashcrow Landscape Design. We've worked through word of mouth for several years, gained recognition in the years I worked in the Nursery industry, and really took off when I moved nearer LA. Now I can finally have a presence on the web. Another step towards the future book deals and television shows... or maybe Plant, the movie? Who will play me?

Living closer to LA has been a dream. Being able to drive down to the Troubadour and see the farewell performance of Engine Down was a real treat. It was also great to see Tom Petty in Irvine and the White Stripes at the Greek in Hollywood. Working hard on designing, and all the aspects of being a landscape designer can leave me tired. Having a great resource of talent I'm honored to work with (you know who you all are), and being able to see some great concerts are great to recharge my creativity.

I now have four active projects underway in various stages of completion, and I've met some excellent clients with interesting lives, and I'm glad to be a small part of it.

This is where I want to be. I'm glad to have arrived here.

What's new with you?

Don't look up here!

Hey all you party people! Well, I'm nearing the end of my fall quarter at Cal Poly (Sophmore Landscape Architecture and Landscape Irrigation Minor) and trying to learn how to function on less that four hours a sleep a night. It's a rough life, trying to juggle work, academics, and a social life all at once.

Today I managed to see the Doo Dah Parade in Pasadena for the first time. While some may think these people have too much time on their hands, I'm flirting with getting a parade entry for a group of students next year. What, who, or why.. well, I have no idea. I just know it looks like FUN!

As for the work, my partner and I are still working on a hookah bar slated for opening in January. I'm excited about the project, I just wish I had more time to get things in motion in Los Angeles! I'm sure it's all going to be beautiful, as we assault the town of Melrose with color, form and style!

Don't look down here!

Greetings and salutations

I found this website thru the young artist Nigel (thepeoplesmint). I'm very new to the world of art. Long time observer, but only recently by sheer force have started to become an artist in my own right. I'm studying landscape architecture and have loved designing, and have had to study and create art for my studies. This has unlocked long denied senses and desires - to be a painter and create again... it's like being able to see after being blind for a portion of your life. I humble step into the artist world again.
